Science Club
Science by definition is ‘the intellectual practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment’.
Society often labels science as incomprehensible, complicated and the domain of geniuses like Albert Einsten, Isaac Newton and Thomas Edison. However, it was simple curiosity that led to their great scientific discoveries. In this age of scientific and technological sophistication, the club's aim is to de-mystify science and to provide avenues to find explanations . It also an opportunity for the girls to experiment with ideas and find answers that stem form simple curiosity.
The science club is one of the most popular clubs at our school, boasting a large number of eager budding scientists. Meetings are held on a weekly basis and consist of fascinating experiments, discussions on the latest scientific discoveries and the opportunity for members to explore their own ideas and interest within the field. The club is renowned for its flamboyant exhibitions, including the annual Science fair, where the girls showcase the culmination of their curiosity and hard work. The yearly Science Club magazine provides these dedicated learners with a medium to share their passion with the rest of the school.
