Joie De Vivre

For young ladies interested in presenting a positive image of grace, poise, elegance and culture to the world.
Convenor:     Mrs. C. Singh.
Mondays:       14h30 to 15h30
Venue:           Room 159

A few aspects of discussion and presentations that take place at Joie De Vivre include:

1. How to develop poise

2. Ladylike charm and walking with grace

3. Dress code for different occasions eg. Black tie.

Many people get confused when they receive an invite stating smart casual. They either dress formally or too casually. Jeans may be worn with a dressy top however not with a casual t-shirt. The jeans must be a dark shade and not ripped. Joie De Vivre girls modelled appropriate smart casual wear and inappropriate wear.

Members were recently addressed by Judy Deetleef; an executive member of the Joie De Vivre Club; and Ashley an old girl of QGHS. Ashley has completed her studies in Hotel Management and is soon to take up a position in the United States in the hospitality industry.

The topic under discussion was table setting. The learners enjoyed the presentation immensely.
